Does the Library have audio books?

Question updated on Apr 29, 2015

The Library has a small collection of audio books.  The easiest way to locate these is by using the Library Catalog’s advanced search.

  • Under Limits, select “Recordings—nonmusical”.
  • Enter your search terms (author or title).
  • For novels or other works of fiction, enter “Fiction” as a subject.

Our CDs are located in the Recordings Collection on the 3rd floor of Regenstein Library.

For downloadable audio books, we recommend the Chicago Public Library’s audio book collections, which are available to Chicago residents with a library card.
